I just installed my pyro for my edge insight. I was seeing 1375@ 65-70 while pulling my 19ft ski boat to the lake today. Is this in the safe zone? how hot it too hot? i noticed that i was going through a regen also at these temps.
You can easily see 1,000 to 1,300+. I tow a 15,000+# fifth wheel to Colorado every summer. If you have a stock truck, the ECM won't let the truck hurt itself.
Yea I knew what you ment,, The geezer behind this keybord has those moments too. My 04. 5 Dodge would easly top 1400 EGTs (bone stock condition) on a hard dry pull.
I see 1375 deg anytime the thing goes through re-gen. On a long pull I see similar temps and on the level with my 5w attached I see 1100 deg, frequently on the level and sometimes in a breeze 1200 or so. It's not uncommon to see these higher temps with the 6. 7 relative to the older 5. 9. My combined (gcwr) is at 23,450 lbs. (Edited) fyi
