EGT probe install question

I just read about installing a pre-turbo probe without removing the turbo. They coat the drill bit with grease and drill while the truck is idling! What do you guys think? Even if I do it after removing the turbo, is it a good idea to coat the drill bit with grease? How about the tap? Here's the link:

When I did mine I did it just like the TST instuctions said and it worked fine, I drilled mine through then swept it out for a long time with a magnet then coated the tap and repeated the last, worked out fine.

EGT probes

ditto. used old fashioned bearing grease on the drill bit and the tap. no problem. i put probes both pre and post turbo. when i got done drilling and tapping, used a small mechanic's magnet to sweep the bottomn of the manifold and the elbow. i didn't have the truck running.
