Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Pump question...

I know this is old hat to most of you but something is amiss. I bought and installed an autometer egt. I have a pacbrake so used the 1/8" hole in the brake housing. With the probe in place, the brake doesn't work..... with it out, it works. It seems like the valve is hitting the probe. What did I do wrong? Should I be using the 1/4" hole that is located on top of the housing just behind the turbo? I assumed the 1/8" hole because that is what the probe needs. Also, if I'm supposed to use the 1/4" hole, how in hades do you get it out. I broke off a allen trying... . Any help???? :{

I will answer my own question in case someone else is as lame as me. I talked to Pacbrake and they confirmed that the probe does indeed go into the 1/4" hole. I just assumed (where have I heard that before)... . I think Genos should have that in their write up for us less-than-brillant folks... .
