Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) EGT response with muffler eliminator

Can anyone tell me if they saw a drop in EGTs with a muffler eliminator kit/str8 pipe on a stock 2001 exhaust? I am going to keep my resonator. Just wanted to know if this was a waste of time. I'm looking to get a HX35 and then the MEK.

I run a gutted factory muffler on the 01. 5... about the same back pressure as a straight pipe. It dropped the EGT about 50-75 degrees.

I installed the MEK on mine, but I was going after straight pipe sound not EGT drop. I noticed no EGT change at all in stock form.

I installed the kit from Geno's on my 2000 and noticed about 50 to 75 deg. drop at 60mph cruise, and up to 200 deg. drop at full throttle going up a slight hill with a 1500 lb. camper in the bed. At full throttle it was really noticeable mainly because EGT climbed much slower with the comp on 5x5.
