what have you guys used on the compression bolt into the exhaust manifold?, for the temp sensor. should i use somthing to make sure there arn't any exhaust leaks? or to make sure the bolt stays tight?

Any threadlocker you put on there will quickly burn off. What i do to keep them from backing off is stake them with a center punch. After snugging the fitting down, put a small punch mark about 1/8" from the fitting. You arent looking to kill it, just smudge the material over to hold the fitting in. works great. If you ever need to remove it for any reason, just run the tap in lightly to clean the top thread back up and repeat on install.

i hear ya rubberneck but i was wondering if i had to put something on the threads to stop leaks. i searched a few post and somewhere someone said they used a gold/copper color paste. saw some at chiefs but it was rated up 700 deg.

Permatex Copper Anti-Seize Lubricant. -20° F to +1800° F. Works for me.

The tapered pipe thread does the sealing. The anti-seize lets me take things apart if needed (I hope).
