Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) EGT to high @7000ft?

What egt temps are you guys running empty? I have a 98 24v 275 drag comp 4inch and afe pro guard 7 I just recently put a PDR hx40. I’m just wandering what you guys see for egt I live at 7000 feet and can easily see 1200-1300 empty on flat ground box on 3x3 just seem like I cant keep the egts down. I have checked for boost leaks and I can get a max boost of about 35 on 5x5. Do you think the HX40 is to much for the truck maybe a modified 35 or a B-1-2? Any help would be appreciated.

I live at about 2500 feet, empty and climbing hills ( 2500 + feet) I can reach 1100. Overall though, empty isn't a problem. With my trailer, 1200 is too easy to reach. Has me having second thoughts about adding a fuel box, like Edge. At least not until I upgrade the air filter and exhaust.

I'm at 7200+ and can see 1500+ pretty easy. That's empty. There is a lot of information on bombing at high altitude. Check out this thread for starters -
