Howdy Yall,
I have a question that I need some input with. I was planning on buying an 03 HO before EGT was implemented, however, due to an unforeseen financial situation, I am forced to wait until next summer at the earliest. Since I will have no choice but to have EGT, I fully intend to wait until Cummins implements Variable Geometry Turbo technology on the ISB until I buy. The Banks Sidewinder has VGT, so the ISB will eventually get it, especially since the new Powerstroke has it and the Duramax will soon get it. I have seen the previous posts with the link to the Cummins video on the larger engines they have with VGT and EGR, but this has been the only info I have come across thus far. My question to you all is this: Have any of you come across concrete evidence that Cummins plans to implement this on the ISBe, and more importantly, when? I have not been able to find anything on the subject, so I decided to use the vast knowledge of the TDR for help.
Thanks,
Adam
