ok. here's the story. 2002 auto, edge e-z 275's, k-n,4 inch exhaust. outside temp was 87 total weight 14000. getting on interstate egt's would run 1250 (before turbo) until up to speed and at 75 it would drop to 1000. no difference from overdrive to drive. basically the same at 60-65. what should this thing do? will be pulling 28ft 5th wheel and a jeep, total weight about19000. if it was stock what temps would it run. HELP never seen it this warn. engine temp about 200, trans 125-145.

I just finisned pulling 17k lbs and got about 1150 preturbo and had a very hard time EVER getting 1200 degrees. The ambient was 105 on the overhead. It would immediately come down as the boost went up. I think it depends on how fast and how high the boost comes up. The fuel response is immediate (to the throttle position) and the boost response comes later. I am REALLY happy with the DDII and TTPM combo with a elbow. The boost max's out around 33-34 psi. It seems to me if you give 'em air they don't run hot.
