Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Egt's And Exhaust Size

I put a #8 plate (slid about half way) on my 98 12v with stock 3" pipe minus the cat and muffler(straight pipes rock). If I put a 4 or 5" pipe on will it lower my EGT's, if so by how much? Many thanks.

At that power level, a 4" with a good flowing muffler should be good for about 150* of EGT reduction on the top.

On my 96' 12V the Scotty II reduced towing EGT's by 100deg. Had the 4" turbo back exhaust installed before gauges.

so how much egt reduction do you think i'm getting with this 7. 5",,, lol... i mean, 100* reduction with 4" behind a muffler should mean that a mufflerless 7. 5" has got to be good for like 500 or 600 degrees right? :-laf
