What kind of results have you seen from your aftermarket ex system as far as egt's going down on a pull?

I have heard everything from "cut out the muffler" works well to a 5" aftmkt system... .

I dont care about noise. But would like to make things cool down a bit.

with the mods, I am 285HP/rear tires

A 4" banks system and ATS manifold made little if any difference in my EGTs when emty. Turbo spools quicker and it may help with EGTs with a load but I don't know.

Sounds good and should last anyway.

Just put a 5" with Donaldson 51" muffler and a smaller resonator on a couple of weeks ago. Made a bigger diff. than I thought it would empty or pulling. I think it made a bigger change in my truck than most because my old exhaust system was a complete hack job with unknown muffler, leaks and a bunch of tubing size changes. I changed it out more because I was embarrassed by it than anything else.

I'd say my egts dropped a good 150* empty on the freeway and have to work hard to get to 1200* pulling where before I could hit 1300 and climbing easily. Time for more fuel!

Can't say on pulling yet with the 5". Empty and cruising down the road it's maybe 50* cooler. Peak temp has dropped maybe 150*. Haven't had a chance to really see what it'll do yet with all the road construction around here. The turbo is more responsive and spools up quicker. The throttle response feels quicker. With exception to what's in my sig. , I'm bone stock.
