I have a 94 5spd. 175hp 4" exh. bhaf. #5 plate forward 15. 5 on advance . after installing a set of 3k gsk. the egt's went from 900's to 1400 on the same hill wot. they may have increased but i backed out then . then i installed a set of custom injectors that claimed 75hp (maby with the 160's ) but any way on the same hill egt's are in the 1000 range and no power loss either. could this be do to excessive boost with not enough fueling with the stockers ? it even runs cooler at idle ? the injectors have 7 holes and i just hope they have a good spray angle . they seem to burn cleaner than the stocks to. i'm just trying to make better sense of this thanks . mjs

Outside air temps can be a factor. Colder it is outside the cooler the egt's.

At idle you are burning more fuel per secound with the bigger injector nozzles. This sudden more burst may cool down the combustion a little at idle. I don't let my truck idle as long much in cold weather since I stuck the 370 injector nozzles.

Not sure how many holes the stockers have, but if it has more (smaller) holes, the fuel would be attomized better. That would create a better burn and should lower the EGTs some.
