EGT's Smarty #5?

Just put in my True Flow XDI intake and took out silencer ring put in cat test pipe and a muffler delete. I also installed a Quadzilla commander with and EGT probe in the exhaust manifold. Intalled smarty #5 and it was about 30 degrees outside put it in sixth gear at 60mph no load and floored it, went from 60 to 90 in about 5 sec my boost peaked at 29psi and egts to 1290 in that time is that normal to go that high that fast? Or is my guage off?

that's very common among Smarty users for reading different threads about it. That is actually a nice low temp compared to what the Smarty can make. Don't be surprised if you see up to 42psi on the boost with 1500F and above at WOT.

You'll have to play with the different softwares to find the optimal power without too much heat. That and/or start adding more performance mods to keep those EGT's in check.

If you didn't remove the cat, you should as that will help lower the EGT's a little without adding more sound to the exhaust.

i got 120hp injectors and wish it would stop at 1290 degree's. LOL. i've had mine run as high as 1600 degree's. still saving those funds for a set of twins so i don't have to lift.

On my second genner with mods(see sig)racing my brolaws 03 up a 8%grade i hit 13-1400 for couple of seconds in 5th---SMARTY ON LEVEL 7,still had one more gear to go but i doubt a would of made the turn if i went any faster. Oo. Oo. Oo.
