EGT's too low??????

Probe installed post turbo and now that the truck has 12K miles and is 10 months old, my egt's are lower and lower!! Power is up and mpg's are better too.



It runs at 300 around town and at idle goes down to 200 or below! Hardly ever have to wait for it to idle down to less than 300 degrees.



I was suspicious that maybe the unit or probe was wacky, but kept my eye on it when on hills and the temps went up to 4 and 5 hundred.



Anyone have any experience with this? Is all okay or is something funky?

I installed mine post turbo directly on top of the elbow, before it makes the bend down. Mine always runs around 4-600 empty, 650-850 loaded and working it. I've also had to back out of it at times because I don't like getting up or over 950. Of coarse idling it'll come down either way. mine never runs at 300 driving. I think you might have a problem with it.

Who is the manufacturer of your pyro?



I have seen a few go bad, rarely does the thermocouple ever go south though.

Probe was post turbo, right at the L of the cast iron elbow.....
