Was wondering what kind of EGT's you are getting in the different levels of the Power Edge? Would like input on trucks similar to mine. See my Signature for my modifications.

Here's the max temps I've hit.

#1-~1000-1100F
#2-1300F (can over-temp if I let it but it takes some time. )
#3-1300F (over-temps VERY fast with special mode 3)

1999 2500 ISB QC SLT (No Leather!), 4x4, 5sp, 4:10, 275inj. , PE, 4"exhaust, Pac-Brake, A-Pillar gauge pod w/boost and pyro, Line-X, V-1, lights, siren, lic. plt. frame that says "Diesel Fumes Make Me Horny!", and much more goofy stuff. (Too much to be listed. )
 
Big bob I can hit 1250+ in #1 1350++ in #2 and who knows in#3 If I cannot get these down I am thinking of going to a VA.
This is with a 4" exhaust and the psychotty air.

You can see the info for my truck bellow, but I have to add that I plugged my wastegate tube the other day and it lowered my temps a bunch.

Level 1 900-1000
Level 2 1000-1100
Level 3 1100-1200

This is from inital testing, I have not got out on the highway a got with it completly...

Prior to plugging my wastegate I could hit 1300 in level two and level three I hit 1450 once.

HOV - Do you have a boost elbow on your truck?? Your temps seem way high. Is it a regular PE or HOT?? What kind of boost are you getting??

It is a regular PE. and I have the boost elbow supplied by PE. I have not changed the screw setting on the elbow , left it the way it came. As far as the boost I need to hook up my guage yet I had a problem with the size of the guage supplied. Those temps are pre turbo with very good a Autometer pyrometer #5244

You said you plugged your wastegate, did this hurt your performance? What is your boost reading with the wastegate plugged? What size is your turbo and how does that effect boost? I know mine is a 12 cm. Did you just plug the boost elbow?

Remember that HOV has DDI's also, that will cause higher EGT's.
 
Hey guys,

You need to adjust the elbow - they do NOT come pre-set. Tighten down on the nut all the way! Check your boost to make sure you don't have any problems, but this should lower your EGT's. It adds more air for the extra fuel.

No, plugging the waste gate on a 2001 is just like putting the elbow on an older truck. My boost went from 21 max to 32 max, my EGT's went down a bunch and I think my truck goes faster to boot. I have either a 9cm or 10 cm turbo (also know as the baby). It came on the 2001 with auto transmission only. There is no elbow to plug, the elbow/rubber hose was replaced with a metal tubing. So I just plugged the tubing were it goes into the turbo. This does the same basic thing as the elbow, only with my setup the wastegate will not open.

After some more testing I have found that I can hit 1350 degrees in level three at WOT, but by then I was Waayyyyyyy over the speed limit. My reported temps for level one and two are correct.

I guess I am going to have to do a K&N and Pyscotty air now..... unless the new PE timing module fixes my problem.
