Can anyone tell me which way to turn the allen screw on the boost elbow to raise boost? Is it very touchy? And last question (im at 31-32 psi now) with a #11 full forward how high safely can I go. Ive heard 34-35 max or else turbo and head gasket problems. Is this correct?

I just want to see if I can clean up the smoke a little at high rpm without moving the plate back.

Oh and this is the real last question, would it lower egt any with more boost or would it raise it because this would be nearing the limit of the turbo. As always thanks for any experiences Bill

Clockwise, or turning the allen in raises boost.

Don't know about psi, but you're up @ or near the efficiency limit.

Are you reading EGT pre or post turbo & what is it?

Forrest,

Post turbo. Has been running 900 on long grades with 9000 lb trailer. But I just slide the #11 from mid to full forward and have not towed with it yet.

Bill,my truck is just like yours and with my #11 plate full forward i found anything over about 35psi of boost does nothing for egts and might even make them run a little hotter my pyro is pre turbo and pulling 15000 pds trailer i can hit 1300 pretty easy. Hope this helps. Jason

Berrigan,

Yep, that's about right to my experience. Post turbo is very misleading.

I was catless, 4" resonator & 4" out the back, with the #11 set full forward & I was getting 950, maybe 1000 post turbo @ 32psi. I live @ 5000'. I moved the probe to pre-turbo & pegged it @ 1500 degrees.

Depending on your exhaust, you're there or more. Time for a 16cm exhaust housing or Piers HX40-16.
