I have a 97 12v supposedly with factory tow package. I have 2 controller harness' 1 came with the truck, 1 came with my tekonsha. Both have the same plug. The problem is that the connector under the dash doesnt match the plugs, the one under the dash has about 12 conductors and looks kinda like an IDE drive connector, nothing like the factory supplied pigtail; Where exactly is this "blue" plug everyones telling me about?

My 01 had the connector on a bracket to the left of the steering column and somewhat above the parking brake pedal. Not sure if it was the smae on your 97.

Remember that the colors don't match on the Mopar harness and the Teknonsha harness. You need the match the harnesses by circuit function not color.

found it!

Thank God for the TDR, (and the knowledgeable people herein) It was way up behind a bunch of wiring junk near the firewall behind the e-break mount. I never woulda seen it if you hadnt told me to look to the left of the steering column
