2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission electric door lock malfuction

My 01 ram 3500 door lock started operating on there on. I could lock the truck with the remote and in a short time it would unlock on its own. any idea what would cause this?

its the switch on the drivers side door lock cylinder that allows u to unlock the passenger side door with a turn of the key. Over time water gets in there and causes a short which makes the power locks act as if they are possesed.



My do it and I just pulled the fuse till I have time to take the door apart and unplug/cut the wire for the switch. seems to be worse after it rains.



There should be some good info on TDR about it.

I believe that is it. The truck is usually in the shed and had sat outside thru a thunderstorm when this happened. thanks jj
