Well, I have been on the quest of finding, buying and replacing my manual NON- electric flip tow mirrors... with no luck I might add. After calling around I understand that there is a large back order (1000-1200)nation wide for the electric flip style mirrors so I guess I'll put my name down on the list and hopefully get them sometime this winter and before the RV trailer towing season starts here in Colorado.

My research results were: P/N : 82207298

Mopar.com 1-800-528-2200 = $284. 00 + tax

They have 10 or so on back order at this time.

Local Dodge dealer here in Colo. Spgs $355. 00+tax

Mopar 4 less 1-800-748-2139 = $345. 00

They have back orders also.

I was told by two of the companies listed above that 100 kits are suppose to be shipped at the end of the month through out the United States to aid to the backorder problem

At that rate, it will take some time. Anyway, I just wanted to share that information for those that are interested.

I do have a few questions if someone can help. When I do finally decide to get in line for these mirrors, does the adjusting knob come with the kit or is this a separate purchase? If it is separate what is the P/N and price? Also is there anything else that I will need (besides patience) to do the swap?

Thanks, Cliff

hey, you will need the adjustment knob, as well as the AC control with the heated mirror button if you want it to look stock. It is a little work, and well worth it! I did it back in September, and love these mirrors! PM me if you have more specific questions. All the wiring harnesses should be in your truck, just tucked away, I believe.

I also did the swap and all the info you need can be found in the search dept. As a side note, shop around for the mirror heat switch and control switch. When I ordered my control switch,I found out the hard way that the switch does not come with the knob. Expensive but well worth it when towing a 36' 5th wheel.

Mirrors

Thanks Chris & Leavitt for you replies and help. I can't believe the amount of back orders that are out there but on the other hand, this in a great modification to our trucks. I plan to go ahead and get in line to get them so I may PM you later if I have any questions. Thanks again ! Cliff
