I am just wondering who makes an electric FP gauge(brand)? And is Electric over Isolater any better...



Pro's and Con's Of both if you know of any?



Also Which would be more accurate or they the same?

I run a dakota digital 0-30psi, has been working great for last 6 yrs. No sender problems as I have a needle valve installed as well as the sensor is mounted to an engine bracket vice firewall. It has a lower pressure warning I can set and the display will flash when it is met. The display comes in blue oe teal that matches factory lighting.
 
The reason i am asking about it is cause i am currenntly running a mech di-pricol and i also have a needle valve in-line and i get a low tone hummin noise from the lines or isolater or something but when i turn the valve off and kill the FP to the gauge i dont get the hummin noise anymore... ANyone know what the hummin noise is or how to stop it? THANKS
 
I can't speak to your di-pricol problem or the accuracy issue. I've had an Autometer Phantom electric 0-30psi gauge in my '03 for the past 6 months. No problems with it so far. I would suggest that you continue to use the needle valve as a snubber, or buy a dedicated snubber. Autometer doesn't recommend this gauge for the Cummins due to engine vibrations eventually killing the sender. However, if you mount the sender at the end of a rubber fuel line (like Geno's sells) that eliminates the problem.
 
I installed Westach electric FP gauges in both my 2001 and my 2005 CTD. I had a local air hose/pneumatic shop make up 3' hoses with fittings on both ends. Mounted one end in the injector pump and ran the other end up above the driver's wheel well. mounted the sender at that end. I've had absolutely no problems with either gauge giving faulty readings, or making noise...
 
A grease gun hose works very well to isolate the sender from the engine vibration. 1/8" NPT fittings on both ends. Cheap too. I have used a Westach electric gauge for some time. No problems at all.
 
I second the Dakota Digital line. 6years on mine with orginal sender and never once had a problem with the sender or the guage. U can set the low pressure warning where u want and when pressure dropps to the cut off the display wil flash at you, which gets ur attention.



Like noted above use a length of hose to act as a snubber to even out the pulses from the VP. I have about 16 inches of -4 SS braid tee'd off of my -6 SS braid fuel line. Prior to that I used a 18inch grease gun hose and a tapped banjo bolt. Both work fine with no problems.

Yep, me too. I got the Dakota a few years ago, use the hose from genos that connects the sender to the test schroeder valve on the VP44. Worth the 20 bucks. I love mine, told me when the LP was dying 2 weeks ago, figured the airdog was cheaper than a VP44. Money well spent.
 
I have the Westach on my 92- bought it used- and it has worked well for me the time I've had it. I was a little leery of the electrical sender, but so far so good. I have about a foot of hose from my banjo bolt (post fuel filter), and have it temporarily zip tied to the cruise servo line. Keeps it out of the way and somewhat stable.

I use an Autometer (Cobalt) electronic fp gauge. Works great, but I had to install a snubber. I used a snubber made by Chemiquick (sp?).
 
I have Autometer Ultra-Lite Electric Fuel Pressure installed for over a year and a half now. It has worked great, no problems. It was installed with my FASS and the sensor is T'd into the fuel line from FASS to CP3 about the firewall point.
