After reading about the "Airdog" and "FASS" systems I think I could benefit from less areated fuel under more consistant pressure. The two systems mentioned look good, but expensive. Has anyone used an electric adjuct pump right off the tank. I recently replaced the stock lift pump and it was obvious the old one was headed south, the new one made a difference in the way the truck ran. What should the max fuel pressure be on a 12v pump? Thanks

The max pressure is set with the overflow valve spring. Spec is 18-22 idle, 25-30 at "rated speed" meaning "high idle". That pump alone is enough to make 800 hp--I did with my 1997.

Joe,

Am I reading your post correctly in thinking that the mechanical lift pump on the trucks with P7100's is delivering 18-22 psi at idle and 25-30 psi at rated speed?

Does this mean that to replace the mechanical lift pump with an electric pump I would need an electric pump capable of 30 psi?
