After washing my truck tonight, I clicked on my heated mirrors before ripping down the road (like always) looked over at the passenger side and noticed the CRACK!! I pulled over and checked it out. I know I didn't hit anything but am wondering if the hot cold change had anything to do with it? Anyone else had this problem? Is the mirror covered under my bumper to bumper warranty? :confused: :{

My guess would be that yes, it would be covered under the warranty, certainly worth a phone call.

I had them in my last truck ( a '98) and never had a problem with them in the winter, but I guess anything is possible.

Had the same problem with my wifes old Durango, if I remeber correctly it had a small hairline crack right through the center. What's funny is it also was the pass. side. These are the same power/heated mirrors on our trucks. Brought it to my local freindly 5-Star Dodge Dealer and they replaced it under warrantee. Said they've seen it before.

Thanks guys,

I stopped at the dealer today and they said that they could order the mirror; but on Mon. the service manager would have to look at my mirror to see if it would be covered under warranty. I guess they just want to make sure I didn't smash it off a pole or something.
