Electric seat motors

So the motors all run I can hear them. I assume some sort of link is broken. This is still my daily driver so I can't take it out of service more than a weekend. Thanks

Check out which part exactly is broken, I've two seat chassis here which I probably won't re-use in the future.

Typical stripped gears. When you see how "proud" FCA is of the seat frame I bet you can take it down as long as needed to repair the stripped gears. Here are some kits and it's quite involved to replace them.

2men1garage is where I got my replacement from.
Not a hard repair. It can be done in place if you want.
Also theres no rewiring with their motors.

I pulled mine due to a neck injury and limited range of motion. I also did the seat cushion mod while I had it out and it made a world of difference.

All told, seat r&r, motor r&r, and cushion mod took about 3 1/2 hours with the cushion mod taking the bulk of the time.

Did this repair April of 2018 on my 07' Mega Cab after having no power in the driver's seat for a long time. The forward / Aft adjustment was operational. The raising and lowering of the front and back of the seat did not work. I also replaced my driver's seat cushion and repaired the lumbar support. Lots work for one day, but it was worth it. I followed the directions from the 2men1garage and that worked good, even their trouble shooting was spot on. So I replaced one motor and gear set for the front and just the gear setup for the rear.

Sounds like stripped gears. An upholstery shop owner told me of a customer that sourced out steel gears. End of problem. I got a couple of motors for mine through Geno's.

Mine works but doesn't sound very good anymore.
In the rare event I have to take it to the dealer (usually for never ending, pointless air bag recalls...) I unplug the seat so they can't play with it.
