Electric shift to manuel transfercase

Has anyone changed out the electric solinoid shifter and put a manuel lever assy Im thinking you should be able to change it out but have never had one of these shifter assy apart Thanks Randy

Don't know if it's possible. However, they are two different transfer cases. The Manual shift is the NV271. Electric shift is the NV273. Also, Canbus may not like the change in electronics.

why would you want to change it, mine works flawless and fast, although i have replaced the electric shifter once, i cracked the housing on accident and then it got water in it and took out the motor...

I agree with TCluff. My 03' has over 70 K on it and has worked flawlessly.

Well I did not realize they were actually different transfer cases. I have a manual transfercase thats what got me thinking. My truck has 185k on it Im just parenoid I guess lately I have had enough with electronics Thanks for the thoughts everybody Randy
