I have a didigal speedo and my 48re has a speed sensor but i picked up off that wire and it wouldnt shift or allow full throttle after 20mph. Any ideas how i can get a vss signal when I have no other speed signal on the truck?

Have you tried to engineer a Dodge front wheel speed sensor to the Ford axle?

I recently had this exact same issue. The speedo does not come off the transmission. It comes off of the ABS tone ring in the rearend. It must go through the abs system to get a signal to the speedo. I had to get a new carrier and tone ring for my dana 70HD from Randys ring and pinion. I also had to mount the sensor in the rearend, no small task. I have used the entire wiring harness for my conversion. I could not find any other way to get the speedo to work. The sensor in the transmission is used by the TCM along with the electronic governor system to regulate shift points.
