2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission electric window switch removal

The passenger side switch on my 2001 has dropped down and also stopped working regularly. I have taken the two screws out of the finger grab area but it feels like something will break if I force it any more. I don't have real good luck pushing on stuff so I have learned to finesse it first. Not working yet. Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like a warranty issue.



You may have to take off the entire door panel. Pull tabs for the most part, and maybe another screw.



once you get the panel off, you should be able to see why the switch is falling in. It may be grounding out on the door frame to cause it to stop working. Pull the connections and clean them, then put some dielectric grease on them. Test it before you put the panel back on incase you have to do some other testing.
