I believe I have a faulty front control module. But I just wanted to check to see what you guys would think. The problem is the left turn signal or the running lights. What happens is when I engaged a left turn signal the front flashes normally and the rear stays on bright but all of the marker lights start to flash. When I turn on the headlights the lamp out light on the dash comes on and the left turn indicator flashes rapidly with only the front light flashing. I have gone through and checked for shorts to ground and other lightbulbs that could be causing this but nothing was found. Anybody have any ideas of anything else I should check?

Does your truck use the TIPM? I think it does, since it's a 2005 model.

If so, that could also be the culprit. Although FCM would also make sense and be cheaper to replace.

Electrical diagnostics with the TIPM are probably almost impossible without a DRB-III.

More clues

Ryan I am not sure if my truck has a TIPM I'll have to do a little more research I was under the impression though that they didn't start using TPIM until 2006. I took out both the rear tail lights and did some probing. I found that on the left side that I'm having problems with that a white wire with a green tracer and a white wire with a light green tracer dose showed to be grounded. On the right side these same wires checked out okay these wires go to the turn signal and marker lights. I'm thinking about my next move.
