I recently rebuilt my 48re in my 03 with suncoast rebuilt kit, new clutches, bands, seals, ect. the trans works flawlessly.
since the rebuild though I have had an abs / brake light on intermittently and when its on i have no abs function. when the light in not on the abs works fine just like its supposed to. the light is on more than off!
along with that problem I have no exhaust brake function from the emjay controller at braking, although it works fine at warmup so I know its not a pac brake problem. I think its a emjay problem.
no codes are on the ecm other that the usual 606 and 336 from the tst or smarty. but when I had a friend use his snap on scanner it can check all the computers and it showed no communication to the pcm, abs pump malfunction at the abs computer, and body computer mis-matched vin number with ecm.
how the hell can this be from just rebuilding the transmission?? the truck did sit for about a month because I did not want to drive it due to the slipping intermediate band and during that time apart and sitting the batteries did go dead. one was not to be revived so I just replaced both of batteries with some red top optimas'.
any help would be great... . maybe I have not thought of something?
