Once again, the electrical gremlins are active and causing problems. The latest is as follows. A few weeks ago, the turn signal light in the dash illuminated when I turned the lights on. I looked outside and the corresponding bulb was out. No problem I thought. I finally had a chance to replace the bulb which, of course, made no difference. During all this, I have lost the horn which I found out the other morning on my way to work. As a bonus, when I press the horn button, the turn signal dash light comes on! :-laf Gremlins. By the way, it is the right parking lamp which has the issue.
Electrical trouble shooting is out of my skill set except for the most basic of issues. A local electric shop was totally confounded by my past electrical issue and my local dealer, and where I purchased the truck, refuses to work on it. How's that for service after the sale?
I'm in the Baltimore, Maryland area. If anyone knows of a reputable electric shop please send it my way. I'm afraid that with the frequency of these issues will come severity. The truck is in good shape and the engine runs strong. I really don't want to get rid of it due to an electrical issue that is beyond what I can find and correct.
