Electrical Problems

I took my 03 to the inspection lane friday and when the mechanic pulled it into the bay, none of the lights including cab lights were working. Turn on the hazards and the cab roof light flash, head lights would alternate or just not work, no brake lights.



I have noticed in the past the check guage light would come on but only for a split second. I pulled the dash appart and reseated all the connectors. Anyone have this happen?

I've lived with electrical problems similar to yours for the last year. It's gotten so bad the last few months that I haven't been able to drive the truck at night. I finally caved and took it to a dealer. After four days they couldn't find a problem and blamed my aftermarket stereo. I took it to another dealer and they found the problem in 5 minutes. It was a bad instrument cluster. All the lighting runs through the cluster before going to the computer. It takes an act of congress to get a new cluster from DC, but see if your dealer will try that.
