Is the seat belt wire always suppose to be hot at all times ?

Also the littel starter wire that plugs into the oval plug by the battery then then tags onto the positive cable is that a fusible link wire ?

My batterys are draing need to cure the problem and im shure its these two areas any ideas ?

Thanks Donovan

Measure it. use a DVOM set to the amps (Milli amps) Place the positive lead on the neg bat cable and the neg lead on the battery neg terminal. (you have the neg cable of the battery) It will shsow you the amp draw if there is any to worry about.

About 5 to 20 milli amps I have seen. It depends on your radio and if you have any shorts etc. A glove box lamp let on will show a pretty good draw. The factory radio won't have much. Maybe show 5 milli amp draw.

If you don't have much, then the problem is internal of the battery. One of my trucks amp draw is 6 and another is 22. Neither one drains the battery down.

You can pull fuses to eliminate circuits one at a time.

Ill check it out if i can make either two meters i got to work , i know that alternators also pull a draw . I wish i knew about that seat belt wire if its hot all the time or not , and were i could find a replacement wire for the starter that would just plug in to the harness .

It appears that the seat belt just grounds the wire that runs to the buzzer so it shouldn't have power all the time. Try unplugging the buzzer module (right side of steering column close to instrument cluster) see if the drain goes away.

None of the buzzer stuff is there that i can tell . the light goes off on the cluster so

What i did was i changed it to a wire that is only hot on run ana accessory so hopefully that will solve that issue . Im not shure whats going on with the other . the wire on terminal from small lug on starter to oval plug by battery on my stock 92 both wires are hooked this one here only one is hooked wich goes to the starter the other side appears to not need to be hooked up . Im still not real shure if that wire to the starter is fusible link wire or not as in some cases looks like it should be changed .
