I was cruising the Dodge website tonight and found this link: http://www.dodge.com/powerwagon/data.html
Specifically:
* American Axle TracRite GTL electronically actuated locking rear differential operates as helical limited slip differential when disengaged
* American Axle TracRite EL electronically actuated front differential operates as an open differential when disengaged
* Both front and rear electronic axle lockers are controlled by a switch mounted on the instrument panel
* Lockers engage only in 4WD low, when vehicle speed is below 3 mph and adequate left-to-right wheel differentiation occurs to allow the dog teeth to align; once engaged, the axles will remain locked through the entire vehicle speed range
I know that the PowerWagon is a gasser, but I can't figure out what axle it uses. Maybe this is a sign of good things to come on our diesel rigs too!
