electronic shift indicator

My transmission range indicator sometimes doesn't show what gear I am in unless I wiggle the gear shift lever. Also, sometimes I'm in drive and it shows I'm in reverse until I wiggle it a little bit. It always seems I'm in the gear it should be in for the shift lever position, so it just seems to be an indicator problem. Anyone else encounter this?

Yes, Jim, I have had that problem from time to time. I would like to think that the recall would address this problem, but I get the feeling that they're just going to install an alarm in my ECM to let me know if the dang thing isn't fully in Park.

Mine does the same thing once in a while, but normally only if i'm in a hurry and don't get it in the exact spot. Probably people frequently having this problem also have the park engagement trouble. I'm not taking mine in to have the safety park alarm or whatever their calling it installed, just push the lever all the way forward like your suppose to and there's no problem.
