Detection without wear
The patented IMS principle (Inductive Magnetic Saturation) allows contactless, wear-free and extremely precise measurement even through non-ferromagnetic walls. It is therefore suitable for a wide range of applications. Examples include using IMS technology to measure rotational movement. Corresponding arrangement of sensor paths also allows two-dimensional movements to be detected.
Other uses include measuring linear displacements up to 300 mm in shock absorbers for active suspension control, or in clutch cylinders and brake master cylinders. We also offer a range of angle position sensors based on the Hall effect as well as magneto-resistive technologies, opening up a range of options, such as determining the position of the accelerator pedal.
