I need to generate an electrostatic charge by using moving air and a sheet of plastic. Just wondering if anyone knows what the best type of plastic or any material I should use.
thanks... ... ... .
I don't know what's the absolute best, but I remember from overhead projectors that those thin acetate sheets seemed to hold quite a bit of static electricity. I'd probably try that first.
Noryl makes the best charges in pellet form. I have seen charge bolts 4" long from a gaylord of Noryl that was feeding a injection machine. Don't get hit by them.
In sheet form I am not quite sure. Never got a jolt off of plexi or lexan in sheet form. I have some 1/16" polyproplene and have been not hit from it eather.
I think I will try a sheet of lexan. The static charge will help attract and hold the GGGoldOo. Oo. in the bottom of the drywasher. Thanks for the info.
