I replaced your email address with ?'s to protect your privacy. Looks like something changed at your ISP. You are the only person that is getting that error message. I'd give that error message to your ISP's tech support and see if they can help.

Thanks Steve. I'll have Larry (my ISP) check it out tomorrow.

I just realized that the flood of SPAM that I'd been getting has stopped too. That's way cool.

Now if I could just let the TDR through and keep them out.

It's an anti-spam thing.

And it's working pretty good. It checks for a real address. Apparently the TDR email doesn't use a "real address".

Here's the email I got back from Larry:

Yes, we did make a change.

Our Email program is now checking the FROM: field in the emails coming into our system.

Since this has stopped 80 to 90% of Spam into our system, we think this is a good idea.

Our server now checks all email coming in or out to verify it is coming from a real address.

Many Spam emails do not.

Is it a problem for them to use a real address?

Is that going to be a problem for me?

SOLVED!

If your ISP tries to reduce spam by checking for "valid" email addresses, the TDR may get cut out.

To fix this have your ISP put "*tdr.com" to let everything from tdr through. "rpatton@turbodieselregister" is NOT the email that this stuff comes through with. It is "nobody@tdr.com" --which as my ISP said--ain't a legit address.

Or from the mouth of my ISP:

I think I found the original problem.

They are using a email address of -- email address removed --

It is not a lagit address so I added *tdr.com to accept anyting from their domain.

Now we can stop all the other stuff that is bad.

My log files show you just got some mail from them in the past few minutes and you already downloaded them.
