My emergency brake is useless. I have it adjusted all the way as tight as it will go. My back brake is like new and works great. Ifigure it needs a new cable but which one the front one or the rear or both. Is this what usually needs to be done or is there another fix. I figure after watching my truck roll down my shop driveway, peeling my door off, slamming two boats, its time to get it working. thanks for any help.

I have had that problem before. Does the rear shoe fit the drum or is the drum worn an the shoe make a contact in a small area. I have seen shoes that did not make very good contact because the drum is worn. Is the rear shoes adjusted up?

I use to use a micro lock on my Toyato 4x4 front brakes. I could set the brakes and get out of my truck to open a gate and the truck would not move. Setting the e-brake in freezing weather has caused me some grief.

I saved a couple of the micro brakes for my wench truck and a newer dodge diesel with a six speed. JimK
