I have a question about the emergency/parking brake. When it is engaged does the pedal always come back up? Is this the way it was designed or is it broke and needs to be fixed? When ever I step on the pedal to set the parking brake the pedal goes to the floor then when I remove my foot the pedal comes right back up. I know the brake is set and I can release it.

Thanks

That is normal, you don't have any problems. They did away with that type in '00 or '01, and the pedal now stays where ever you left it, it doens't spring back up.

I very much dislike that feature on my 99. I'm always setting the brake... then later forgetting if I set it or not. It would be nice to just look down and see if its set or not.
