I have been considering a smarty jr for small increase in fuel mileage and towing driveability, and the fact that it does not increase rail pressure.

One question I have never seen asked concerns emission testing.

Does anyone from Ontario have a jr on there CR that has been through the provincial emission test.

I am wondering if there will be too much opacity on the snap throttle test?

Thanks for your input

Can't help you with the Canadian smog test, but my understanding is that you can take the Smarty program off the vehicle, just as you can put it on. Take it off, put the truck back to stock, do your test. Then put it back on when you get home. I'm still on the fence about a Smarty, but am leaning that way.

Here is my advise. Leave the unit stock for the emmision test and install your smarty after the test. If your opacity is below a certain number you will be exempt next year and you will be good for 2 years .
