Good evening all!
Have expanded my research of a new rig to the chassis-cab models and have a couple questions regarding the exhaust after-treatment and EGR differences. From what I've read so far, the commercial trucks are held to slightly lower federal standards, have larger fuel and DEF holding capacity, and at least initially were more dependable than the 6.7 pickup counterparts.
Does the commercial truck utilize fueling during the exhaust stroke for DPF regeneration or is there an injector in the exhaust?
Does the commercial truck EGR have an advantage over the pickup?
Thank you all!
