I am a Nube to this post.

I have a 1997 Ram commins, it has a Banks stinger set up . I took off the Cat put on a test pipe. Will my rig pass Ct. emissions or will I half to put the cat back on to pass?

It runs so well with out the cat I hate the thought of puting it backon.

Thanks Bob

I'd put the cat back on. Near Detroit, one trick we used to do with a gasser that had to do emissions test, and we were worried about passing, was to get the engine good and hot, buy running on the eway just before the test. Don't know if a hotter engine will make it smoke less though.

Here in Arizona we also have to deal with emmissions. I just went through last week. I watched real close as I went through the line and they never checked for a cat. After I was done I asked them if they check for it and they said yes even though I know they didn't on mine. I have a gutted cat just in case.

RFS,

Welcome to the TDR :D

Leave the CAT off. They don't even look for one.

When I had mine done the data sheet they gave me had all of my vehicle information, but no numbers to indicate readings. Only a statement towards the bottom that said, "Thank you for complying with Connecticut’s Emission Standards".

The state just want's their $20. 00

Ditto for me,

If I was worried about passing I wouldn't have put on the DDII injectors :D

alot of the people I've heard from hear still belch smoke and pass with flying colors in other states.
