Emissions On 2007 3500

After much intense thought and worry about whether or not my truck will come with emisions. I think I found it.

On page 9, under the 5. 9l engine it states emissions equipment as the "catalytic converter and internal engine features".



Then below under the 6. 7l engine it states "exhaust after treatment systems and internal engine features".



So if I read this right it means my truck has nothing on it but the cat? I don't know what they mean by internal engine features but I don't think they would be any different than what comes on the 06's. Right??



I know I have touched on this subject before but I really don't want the emissions on my new truck. If I am reading this wrong please don't hesitate to let me know, but I think I am right.



Cant wait for the truck to get here!!!! Hopefully only 5 more weeks Oo.

I believe you're reading it right. "Internal engine features" I would take as internal egr due to valve overlap, multiple injection events for NOx control, high rail pressure for PM suppression, etc. I think you'll get what you want!

I talked to Bullydog the other day about them coming out with new programming for the '07 5. 9L motors. They said it was delayed due to new programming that deals with emissions. Your truck has no other external emission features. The internal features are just the programming and other tuning modifications. From what we saw, the '07 5. 9L runs a lot hotter. We got a brand new (no mods, no trailer) '07 up to 1,400* pre-turbo. I was pretty shocked by that. If you have an '07 truck, they are asking for beta trucks. All you have to do is sign up on the website or call in.
