On my 19 R am Laramie the location is right top corner license plate, there is opening in bumper cord is on an wire loom plug is cover.
In the past had been near the front tow hook which is difficult to reach in due all the plastic coverings.

I have a 2012 Ram 3500 HD crew cab, did all the diesel trucks come from the factory with block heaters?

I have not found mine yet.
as i understand, every cummins came with a block heater installed. some trucks did not come with the cord. on a 6.7 the heater connection is just left and up from the oil filter as viewed through the fender hole. the heater should have a black plastic plug on it to protect connection point. cheers comrade!

I know there is a thread somewhere on plugging in but I'm at the lake this week and wondering if it's ok to leave my truck plug in all the time we aren't driving it? Got down to 21* last night and I don't see us going anywhere today so was just going to leave it until the next time we do go somewhere?

Sure it’s fine. But not really needed at 21°, unless you just want it for faster cab heat.

That would be a totally waste of Energy. There is not the slightest benefit of leaving it plugged in if you dont run it afterwards.
Afterward means 3 hours after plugging it in, more isn't needed for a warm up.

If its 750w continously.

Cost per kwh. X kwh. X hours = cost per hour

Say it's on the high end .16 cents all in delivery and usage.

.16 x .75 x 24 = $2.88 per day

Vs the timer

.16 x .75 x 2 = $0.24 for 2 hr.

Could be off a bit on that above.....

Will make a big deference in your electric bill if you leave it plugged in all the time. May want to think about a timer on the plug.
