Gross Weight??

how to lower rear about 2 inches.Whats easy?

I have been told many times to tow something to break in the engine. All I have is a 3000 lb slide-in camper (no trailer). From what I have read/heard, this is not much of a load for the Cummins. How can I use this weight to perform the break in? I now have 6000 miles on the truck and still getting poor fuel mileage.

Thanks for your help.

Take the cabover out on the interstate and run it at 70+ mph for at least an hour. Same as pulling heavy due to wind resistance...

The camper should give you sufficent load to break in your engine. I would tend to run faster to allow extra wind load. You will see 5 to 8 miles per gallon differnce between 50 and 75 miles per hour. That translates into LOAD on the engine. I would try to not lug the engine. Happy camping!!
