The check engine light is on. Engine codes were P1693 and P0237. Anyone able to tell me what the are ? I only have a power edge box on now. Thanks.

Thanks BV,

I called dodge and they couldnt tell me. I think it has something to do with my pe box. Thanks again. Paul

I had the same code on my last truck "0237". The dealer ended up changing out my map sensor, because it wasn't putting out enough volts.

I had the same set of codes last fall. Before you install a new MAP sensor, try a dab of dielectric grease on each of the 3 posts withing the MAP plug, worked for me.

It's common for some of us to get the P1693 code with a fueling box. I just had that code re appear a few weeks ago, I checked the MAP plugs again ( I have 3 with the combo of the EZ and TST boxes ) and it appears that I missed one of the posts within a plug the first go 'round with the grease. I gave it a small dab of dielectric grease and magically, the check engine light disappeared and has not returned.

Thanks all. Gonna try the dielectric grease right now.

I tried the dielectric grease and it didnt work. Since its still under warranty I called the 5 star butcher and made an appiontment. Ill post the results when I get it back.

BV- Where did you find that 1693 was turbo related?

I don't have my tech man in front of me, I'm at work, but I think that 1693 is a communications mismatch between the ECM and the VP44 controller. I may have my PCU and ECU codes mixed up though. Just curious.

I started up the ram for my trip to the 5 star butcher and guess what?... Yup, the engine light was off. I guess the dielectric grease worked after all. Thanks a million Bigsaint! U R a life saver. I didnt have to deal with the butcher.
