Does anyone know what the limit is for crankcase pressure. I am from a marine background and we would gauge the health of an engine based on crankcase pressure at max load/turbo boost. The higher the crankcase pressure the more worn the rings are. I know that the Detroit Diesels, EMD's, and MTU's that I worked on had manufacturer specifications for crankcase pressure. Does anyone know what it should be. I have a digital manometer and going up a steep hill in 6 th gear with my foot to the floor I am running about 2" of water. I do not know what boost I had because I did not install a guage yet.
Thanks,
nm
