When I start the engine and come from park to reverse the engine dies. It doesn't matter if the engine is warm or cold, or if I let it sit for a few seconds before pulling it into reverse it will die. It doesn't do it while going into drive or while driving and it doesn't do all the time but it seems to be getting worse. Any ideas? The wife is having a fit.

Although I've never seen it happen on a CTD, I've seen a few cars stall in reverse only. It ended up being a bad battery cable that lost it's connection when the engine tipped dropping into gear. When you put it in drive the engine would tip the other way and not disturb the connection. It's an easy thing to check anyway.
