Getting worse now, especially when warmed up. THe engine will startup right away then immediately die. I have to hold the accelerator pedal down while cranking to get her to keep running. (She runs fine after that)
What year truck? If it's a 12 valve the idle is probably too low. An automatic should be at least 750 RPM with the trans in D with the AC on. 800 is better.
750 in D with A/C? OK I'll try that, Just an hour ago i adjusted it up to ~750 in neutral-drops down to 5-600 in D with A/c on. To get 750 in drive with A/C wont it have to be about 1000RPM in Park? Oh, yeah, the truck is a 97 12v.
Replace your fuel lines from the frame rail to the steel lines that go to the injection pump. I had the same problem. The fuel was draining back to the tank because air was getting into the lines. Do a search on fuel lines and you should find plenty of info.
