I have a 2006 with cummins diesel six speed. My problem is that I can drive approximately thirty miles and truck will start slowing down losing power until it completely dies. Let it sit about fifteen minutes and it will restart and it may run fifty or sixty miles without a problem. It may go days without a problem. No codes showing. No engine check light. If you try to start it right away some times it will fire right up and then again some times it won't. It has an air dog pump and can hear it running. Can the APPS cause this problem? As the engine slows down and you press the accelerator nothing happens as if it isn't getting fuel.

X2 I am with Bob4X4 sounds just like a lift pump going bad,(if you have already replaced the fuel filter) if you continue to run on low fuel pressure you may damage the injection pump.

First thing I would do is replace the fuel filter. If it got clogged with low miles then you may have a batch of bad fuel and it's going to take a more than one FF change to get through it.
