Engine Idler... Anyone using one??

Has anyone installed one of these things on their Cummins?



I should think it would be the cats meow to save the beast when you jump out for "a minute" and then don't get back for 20 minutes.



And, it will keep the a/c going in fine fettle.

It seems like a lot of frills when a simple switch would do the job. You still have to provide the actual mechanisms to increase the idle.

The switch implies the driver has all of his smarts working all of the time.



The Kausmaul idler exits control if the neutral switch or the brakes get involved.



It's awful hot here in Phoenix, I think the convienience factor has to over ride the cost involved.

I have the High idler from PS



Has a dial that you can turn it from 1000 when on to 1500 real easy.

I have mine wired through a relay so the parking brake has to be set.

did anyone ever get that high idle switch to work for the enable pto_wire to work?

I have a high-idler from Home Depot.

Works in all weather, easy to turn on or off, performs double duty as a "tire-thumper", and cost about a $1.
