hey guys need some info here.
I am currently working on a brief history of the domestic manufacturers
diesel light duty-heavy duty pickups 1978-current models, 1/2-1. 75 ton(f550/gm 5500/dodge 5500), including, chassis,diffs,tcases,trannies,cabs and spec packages. i have found very little info
regarding these on the net and the books and other publications that I have are limited in regards to these specs.
what i am currently searching for however, is information pertaining to the in-direct injected diesels from 1978-1992 5. 7 gm/6. 2 gm and naturally aspirated 6. 5 gm( i have enough info on the 6. 5turbo) as well as the 6. 9/7. 3na and 7. 3 turbo navistar/ford engines and transmissions behind these engines as well as the differentials and transfer cases.
i am also looking for info regarding the 1978 only model year of Dodge pickups that contained the 4. 0L 243ci mitsubishi i-6 diesel and associated transmission/diff and tcase info, and also what model trucks had this engine as an option.
